Farewell Little Brother...

My heart can't even begin to describe the hurt it's feeling. My little brother is going to war...to the deadliest war we have had since we have gone to the Middle East. He left from his post in Washington yesterday. Not all of us were able to go, just my mom and step dad, and his adorable fiancee Abby. It's so heart breaking to see the pictures of them saying goodbye. The most heart breaking is seeing one of his fellow Army friends saying goodbye to his tiny infant knowing he will be gone for a year. Our hearts are heavy, but we know angels will be watching over him and whatever happens is for the best. I know he was sent to this earth as a warrior, and I know Heavenly Father keeps watch over His choice spirits. Farewell little brother...for now. Return with Honor.

Birthday Surprise...

I have the most wonderful husband in the entire world! For my birthday I went out to my car in the morning to find a CD he put together for me with tons of my absolute favorite songs. They included...

Keith Urban-Only you can love me this way
Martina McBride-I just call you mine
Josh Gracin-Unbeleivable
Kenny Chesney-Down the Road
Taylor Swift-Our Song
Brad Paisley-Time Well Wasted
Kenny Chesney-Somethin sexy about the rain
Darius Rucker-It won't be like this for long

And many others! But my all time favorite song on the CD is Brad Paisley's "I thought I loved you then..."

I remember trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mesmerized
And 3 weeks later in the front porch light taking 45 minutes to kiss goodnight
I hadn’t told you yet but I thought I loved you then

Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I remember taking you back to right where I first met you
You were so surprised
There were people around
But I didn’t care I got down on one knee right there
And once again I thought I loved you then

Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I can just see you with a baby on the way
I can just see you when your hair is turning gray
What I can’t see is how I’m ever gonna love you more
But I’ve said that before.

Now you’re my whole life now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Well look back some day at this moment that we’re in
And I'll look at you and say and I thought I loved you then
And I thought I loved you then...

Thanks honey! I love you! Happy Birthday!

Nothing Better....

Teething Biscuits

Tyler has a new love! He can't get enough of these teething biscuits! I give one to him and he kicks his feet and goes crazy with excitement. The only problem is he can't hold them the whole time, so he freaks out when he drops them. Mom ends up holding it in his mouth until it's gone :)

Shopping Spree!

I have two words...Gym Bucks! You can get everything at Gymboree for half price...even clearance stuff! So...my mom and I had a lot of fun. She bought him a couple outfits, and I bought him a couple outfits :) Bryan teases me that our child is better dressed than he is! But it's nice to get good quality clothes for the same price as cheaper quality clothes. I bought a lot of stuff that will fit him next year. I'm excited for him to wear them!

Buddies and their babies...

This is Bryan and his old roommate Tommy...two peas in a pod! They used to play basketball together and Tommy is actually partly responsible for my meeting Bryan! This is them and their new babies!

Timpanogos Cave

My family took a hike up Timpanogos Cave before my brother Britt is being deployed to Afghanistan...it's something he really wanted to do. So...we strapped Tyler onto my bro's back and made the trek up the mountain! It's a really fun, pretty hike. It's steep, but so worth it to walk through the cave. The only hard thing about it was carrying a baby through the cave. There are a lot of spots you have to duck under, squeeze through, and slippery floors. But all in all, it was a fun experience!

Crazy busy!!

My poor blog has been lonely for a while. Needless to say, life is described in two words for us...CRAZY BUSY! Due to busy school and work schedules, we haven't even hardly been home. I have to admit, as hard as student teaching has been, I am actually REALLY enjoying it more than I thought I would. I love the kids, I love teaching, and I love the school and teachers I am working with. I can't wait to be done, but I will miss the kids I work with. They already made me promise to email their teacher pictures when I'm gone of me and little Tyler! They are the sweetest little people :)Two more months!

Here are a marathon of posts to catch up for y'all!

The countdown is on...

Bryan, being the wonderful husband that he is, made me a count down chain for student teaching! We have it hanging up in our bedroom so I can cut off a link every time I finish a day...this is me cutting off the first day! (I'm happy to say that MANY more are gone now)!

Clean house...

Before I started student teaching, we decided to spend a day deep cleaning our house...my mom took Ty while we did the cleaning, and it took a whole day!! Enjoy these pictures...it hasn't looked like this since I started :)

Not wanting to grow up...

We decided that our little guy is perfectly content being a baby. He STILL doesn't roll from his back to his belly...he just lays there waiting for us to give him his toys. He will roll from his belly to his back, but that's about it!

And as you can see...sitting up is still not a fun thing in our household...

I think I'll just let my baby stay a baby as long as he wants :)

Bargain shopping...

I decided I love Kid to Kid...that place can have some really great stuff. We found this high chair for HALF the price sold in stores and it's in GREAT condition! We love it! I highly recommend buying stuff from that place...

First Swim!

Tyler experienced his first swim this summer and he LOVED it! We were a little worried he wouldn't like it, but he has proved us wrong since. He LOVES the water!

Six months

Okay, so he's not actually six months old for another week, but we did some pictures anyway...my talented mom took these. I love them! My baby is 'all growed up!'
